Meet the Leadership Team
Janet McGee
Owner & Chief Visionary
Guided by compassion and intention, Janet creates spaces where people feel deeply supported. As a Minnesota-licensed mortician and University of Minnesota instructor, she infuses decades of leadership, education, and service into everything she does.
Janet is a mother to four children—three on Earth and one on the other side—and she continually navigates the journey of parenting across both worlds. Following the tragic death of her son, Ted, in a 2016 dresser tip-over, Janet co-founded Parents Against Tip-overs (PAT), a group comprised of parents from across the nation whose children died from a dresser tip-over. Through years of relentless national advocacy, she and PAT successfully championed the STURDY Act, which President Biden signed into law in 2022 to protect children from similar tragedies.
Janet believes that self-awareness, self-love, forgiveness, and growth are gifts we must actively choose to cultivate.
"Death is our greatest teacher—ultimately showing us how to truly live." --Janet McGee
